In Hong Kong’s Kai Tak area is the Upper River Bank development, sitting on the banks of a small river which channels water down from the mountain streams above Kowloon. This sub-tropical setting backgrounds the atmosphere of our design for these duplex apartments.
Planned around entertaining, the relationships between kitchen, dining and lounge have been meticulously resolved. Free flowing for family living, when entertaining, concealed sliding doors close down the kitchen, allowing domestic helpers to remain discretely ‘back of house’ in support of the family hosting their guests at the island bar and dining table.
The living space opens directly onto a private, landscaped courtyard, making full advantage of the city’s climate and the apartments proximity to the river.
