Athlone House Restoration

Standing proud inside the Highgate Conservation Area for the past 130 years is the once impressive Athlone House. The property is now derelict and has been empty for many years since being vacated by the NHS in 2003. The stunning gothic house has been bought by international businessman and industrialist Mikhail Fridman, who (subject to planning approval) has agreed to restore the property to its former glory and create a beautiful family home. London based SHH Architecture and Interior Design has been commissioned to put together detailed designs, as they have extensive experience working on sensitive building projects in this area. Visuals and plans were on display in Hampstead for the public to see how the house and gardens might be recreated, paying homage to the original designs to create a family residence.
