A market place is at the heart of any community. A place of commerce, conversation, activity, leisure and most of all food.
The Akademiya Mall is ideally located directly across from one of Baku’s busiest metro stations. The mall and market place creates a hub for workers, university academics and students, and local residents, enabling these communities to interact with each other and to enjoy the best of the regions produce.
The design aims to provide a low rise and permeable shopping mall, layered with greenery, drawing people in to its central market place and extending the public realm.
