SHH designed an installation for the annual Restaurant and Bar Design Awards (RBDA) on the 5th October 2017. With a host venue of Granary Square adjacent to Central Saint Martins in Kings Cross, this year’s award ceremony was attended by over 300 of the industry’s top designers and hospitality operators.

Each year the awards display a series of installations, with this year being no different. RBDA tasked SHH with creating an installation based ‘Soundscape’ resulting in a cube containing four suspended sound cones, each playing a purpose-recorded mix of sounds responding to the history of the local area.

The 2017 RBDA had almost 1000 entries spread across the 33 categories. The Penny Drop, by Golden won best overall restaurant, whilst Westlight by Studio Munge won best overall bar.
